In this extended, 2.5hrs session we will complete the entire Ashtanga Primary Series focusing particularly on Tristana within our practice.
Tristana is comprised of three elements: Ujjayi breath (victorious breath), the Bandhas (muscle/energy locks), and Drsti (yogic gaze). These three tools transform our Asana (physical) practice from a simple body exercise into a total mind-body experience.
We will also pay extra attention to our transitions; jump backs, jump throughs and roll overs bringing grace, ease and effort into our movement. This workshop is open to all levels, from beginner to intermediate or advanced. Modifications will be offered at all stages of the sequence and wherever you are in your journey you will benefit from hands on adjustments and alignments cues and breath, bundha & dristi advice.
