This is a great workshop for those that have some experience practicing yoga and wish to deepen their existing practice and take their journey to the next level.
Ashtanga yoga is a practice of moving meditation. By finding stillness in motion, we will embark on a breath inspired journey and reap the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of the primary series/yoga chikitsa.
By following the technique of synchronizing movement, asanas, and breath we seek to create a deeper awareness while practicing. Ignite your internal furnace to detoxify and purify the body and guide both body and mind into alignment of inner peace and lightness of being.
By applying Ashtanga yoga’s core principals, other aspects of yoga will begin to unfold and help guide you on a transformational journey that extends beyond the yoga mat, and into our daily lives. Take the time to discover your innate healing and body wisdom by understanding what it means to practice with no attachment, complete concentration, and absolute surrender.

Breakdown of Workshop
-Learn about the primary series of Ashtanga, yoga chikitsa and yoga therapy.
-Understand the tristana. (3 pillars of Ashtanga)
-Learn about Ujjayi breath, Drishti, and Bandhas
-Appreciate the art of Vinyasa and synchronized movement
-Understand the Gateway Asanas by breaking them down.
-The 8 Limbs. These are the guidelines for how to live a meaningful, purposeful life while climbing to yoga ladder to self-healing and acknowledging the spiritual aspects of our very nature.
