with Steve Double
In this extended, 3hr session we will not only complete the entire Ashtanga Primary Series focusing on Tristana within our practice but also explore all 8 limbs of the Ashtanga system of yoga.
Tristana is comprised of three elements: Ujjayi breath (victorious breath), the Bandhas (muscle/energy locks), and Drsti (yogic gaze). These three tools transform our Asana (physical) practice from a simple body exercise into a total mind-body experience.
We will also pay extra attention to our transitions; jump backs, jump throughs and roll overs bringing grace, ease and effort into our movement.
The 8 limbs of yoga cover everything from moral codes of living to attaining higher states of consciousness
This workshop is open to all levels, from beginner to intermediate or advanced. Modifications will be offered at all stages of the sequence and wherever you are in your journey you will benefit from hands on adjustments and alignments cues and breath, bundha & dristi advice.
It’s time to deepen your practice.
